I graduated from Kansas State University in 2008 with a B.S. in Kinesiology.  After graduation, I took the opportunity to do volunteer work for a couple years.  I joined AmeriCorps and served two years doing disaster relief efforts.  After AmeriCorps, I was ready to get back into the health and fitness world.  I went to massage therapy school in St. Louis and began my career as a Licensed Massage Therapist at an Aveda Salon and Spa.  I moved back to Kansas after a couple years and began working as a Chiropractic Assistant and Physiotherapist at Advanced Healthcare & Sports Injury.  Being part of a sports chiropractic office further strengthened my desire to help people in more ways than just massage.  I first became a NASM certified Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES).  In the past year, I have continued my education by getting the Hardstyle Kettlebell Certification (HKC Instructor) and Strength Calisthenics Certification (SCC) through Dragon Door.  Lastly, I became a NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT).  Combining massage and personal training has allowed me to benefit more people in more ways, which is why I started Advanced Massage & Fitness.   My mission is to assist people on their path to wellness, no matter if it's through rejuvenating the mind, body, or both.  In my spare time, I love being with my family and friends, especially on the lake.  I also enjoy playing sports, volunteering, and being with my two cats, Bella and Ralph.
